Show Your Love Market: A Fundraiser for Common Ground Books & Toasty Taiyaki
Rally for Community: Supporting Tallahassee’s Beloved Queer-Owned Businesses
Tallahassee, it’s time to show up and show out!
On February 16th, from 12 PM to 5 PM, we’re bringing you an event that’s not just a market—it’s a love letter to the small businesses that make our community thrive. Show Your Love Market, organized by Kailon Magazine in collaboration with Kreature’s Oddities Market and Tally Print Studio, is a fundraising market dedicated to helping two of Tallahassee’s most beloved queer-owned businesses, Common Ground Books and Toasty Taiyaki, cover their moving expenses as they transition to their new home.
These aren’t just businesses—they are pillars of our local queer community, spaces of belonging, creativity, and connection. Now, they need us. Let’s prove that when times get tough, Tallahassee bands together to lift up the spaces we cherish.
What’s Happening at the Market?
🔥 Live Music – Get ready to vibe with killer performances by local bands Def Dogs, Palace Rats, and Banquet. Expect electrifying sounds, raw energy, and the kind of music that makes you feel alive.

Where’s It Happening?
📍 Common Ground Books’ Current Location: 128 N Bronough St.
This is your last chance to soak in the magic of the current space before they move—let’s send them off in style.
Why This Matters
Independent bookstores and food trucks like Common Ground Books and Toasty Taiyaki are the heart and soul of Tallahassee. They are more than businesses—they are safe havens, cultural hubs, and community spaces where people can connect, learn, and grow.
With the rising costs of moving and operating small businesses, it’s now or never to step up and give back. If you’ve ever discovered a book at Common Ground that changed your life or taken a bite of Toasty Taiyaki’s legendary pastries and felt pure joy, this is your chance to ensure those experiences don’t disappear.
We need you there. Bring your friends, bring your family, and most importantly, bring your love for the businesses that make Tallahassee home.
Let’s give this location that has served us well for so long a big last hoorah!
